Terms of service
Last updated: 1 June 2026
These terms govern your use of VoodooTech and our products, CompanyReach and StatementConverter.UK. By creating an account or using either service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
1. Who we are
VoodooTech is a trading name of VOODOO TECH LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16024355, with registered office at Peel House, 34-44 London Road, Office 203, Morden, England, SM4 5BT, United Kingdom. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under reference ZC122614. You can reach us at [email protected]. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean VOODOO TECH LIMITED.
2. Definitions
- “Services” means our software products, namely CompanyReach (companyreach.uk) and StatementConverter.UK (statementconverter.uk), together with the VoodooTech website at voodootech.uk.
- “You” or “Customer” means the individual or firm that registers for or uses a Service.
- “Credits” means the units held in your account that are consumed when you use metered features of a Service.
- “Paddle” means Paddle.com Market Limited, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for paid plans and credit purchases.
3. The products
StatementConverter.UK converts PDF bank statements from UK banks into spreadsheet-ready Excel and CSV files. Key features include bespoke parsers for 20+ UK banks, batch conversion, frozen-header Excel output ready for Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and FreeAgent, and in-memory processing with no retention of your transaction data.
CompanyReach retrieves records of newly incorporated UK companies from the official Companies House Public Data API by postcode area, and generates branded A4 PDF introduction letters for postal correspondence. Key features include daily monitoring, multi-business workspaces, and team and credit administration.
Conversion and data accuracy depend on the quality of source documents and on the Companies House register, which is outside our control. The Services are tools for professional firms and do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or accountancy advice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Service or feature, with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration details. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe the details are inaccurate or the account is being used in breach of these terms.
5. Credits, subscriptions, and billing
Paid plans are sold as credit-based subscriptions. Each subscription includes a monthly or annual allowance of Credits, and you can buy additional Credits as top-ups at any time. Metered actions, such as converting a statement page or generating a letter, consume Credits at the rates shown on our pricing page and inside each application.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, at the price for your plan.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Credits are personal to your account and are non-transferable.
- Failed actions, such as a statement page that cannot be parsed, are not charged.
- Unused subscription Credits expire under the rollover rules shown at checkout; top-up Credits remain available while your account is active.
6. Payments and Merchant of Record
Payments for paid plans and Credit purchases are processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. When you buy a subscription or Credits, Paddle handles the checkout, billing, payment, invoicing, and the calculation and collection of any applicable VAT or sales tax. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to that transaction in addition to these terms. We never receive or store your full card details.
7. Refunds
Our refund policy forms part of these terms and explains your statutory cancellation rights, how refunds are handled through Paddle, and when Credits are refundable. Nothing in these terms affects your non-excludable rights under UK consumer law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose.
- Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell access to the Services without our written consent.
- For CompanyReach, send unsolicited electronic marketing in breach of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), target individuals as private persons rather than the registered company, or imply endorsement by Companies House.
9. Intellectual property and your data
The Services, including their software, design, and brands, are owned by VOODOO TECH LIMITED and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services in line with these terms. Files you upload and content you configure remain yours; you grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to operate the Services for you. Records retrieved from Companies House are public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of business. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
11. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, and forms part of these terms.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms or where required by law. On termination, unused subscription Credits are forfeited. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, liability, and governing law, continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and we will give notice of material changes by email or in the application. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Contact
